Welcome

Welcome to Victoria Memorials

A memorial is one of the last gifts we give someone we love. We would be honoured to help you create one that feels truly theirs.

Victoria Memorials is a Melbourne family business. We help families design, create and install headstones and memorials that honour a life with dignity and warmth.

Every family we meet is different. Some come with a clear picture of what they want; many have never arranged a memorial before and simply don’t know where to start. Either way, we take the time to listen, explain your options in plain language and guide you through each decision at a pace that feels right.

We welcome families of every faith, culture and background — and those who prefer something entirely personal.

Design & installation

From the first conversation to the day it is placed

We look after the whole journey, so your family doesn’t have to coordinate it alone.

i.

Consultation & design

We listen to your wishes, explain what your cemetery allows and prepare a design for you to review and refine.

ii.

Stone, lettering & detail

Choose the stone, finish, inscription and any artwork — we’ll help you weigh durability, appearance and care.

iii.

Crafting & installation

Once the design and cemetery permit are approved, your memorial is made and installed to the cemetery’s requirements.

How it works

A clear path, explained at every step

Most families have never arranged a memorial before. Here is the general shape of the journey — every family’s timing and needs are a little different.

  1. Talk with us

Tell us about your loved one, your wishes and the cemetery. No preparation is needed for a first conversation.

  2. Design together

We suggest shapes, stone and wording, then prepare a design for you to review until it feels right.

  3. Quote & approvals

You receive a detailed quotation, and the design is submitted to the cemetery for any required permit.

  4. Crafted & installed

Your memorial is made and installed in line with the cemetery’s requirements and approved design.

Natural stone

Stone chosen to endure, and to feel right

Granite is the most popular choice for outdoor memorials in Victoria for its strength and low maintenance, with colours from deep black to soft grey and warm rose. We’ll help you understand each option before you decide.

  • Black granite

    Deep, formal and timeless

  • Grey granite

    Soft, natural and versatile

  • Rose granite

    Warm, gentle tones

  • Deep green granite

    Quietly distinctive

  • White marble

    Classic, with care needs

Questions

Questions families often ask

Honest answers to help you feel prepared. If your question isn’t here, we’re always happy to talk it through.

Read all FAQs
How much does a headstone cost?

It depends on the size, stone, finish, lettering, artwork and the cemetery’s requirements and fees, so we don’t publish fixed prices. After a conversation about what you have in mind, we provide a detailed written quotation so you can see exactly what is included.

Do we need cemetery approval?

In most cases, yes. Cemeteries in Victoria generally require a memorial permit or approval before a memorial is installed, and they set rules on size, materials and installation. We’ll explain what is needed and help prepare the application with you. Learn about cemetery requirements.

How long does it take?

Timing depends on the design, the stone, cemetery approval and, in some cases, how long the cemetery recommends waiting after a burial for the ground to settle. We’ll give you a realistic estimate for your memorial once we understand what is involved.
